Rev. Henderika Julia Wattimena
Former Lead Pastor
Henderika Julia Wattimena, who prefers to be called Hennie is originally from Mollucas, Indonesia. She lived in Salatiga, central Java, where she taught Pastoral Care and Counseling at Satya Wacana Christian University. She finished her undergraduate from Satya Wacana Christian University (1991) and received the M.Th. (post-graduate) degree from Silliman University in Philippines.
She is an ordained minister of the Protestant Church in Western part of Indonesia (GPIB) and served the churches in Java and Sumatra for 10 years. She did Clinical Pastoral Education in Hawaii in 2006 & 2010. She finished her second master degree in Congregational ministry at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2015.
She is a vice moderator of National Indonesian Presbyterian Council (NIPC). She lives in Gaithersburg, MD with her two beautiful daughters. Her husband is currently a minister at the Protestant Church (GPIB) in Indonesia. Outside of the ministry, she enjoys singing and traveling.
